Scanning Systems & Accesories

Resonon offers a variety of options and accessories for our spectral imaging systems. If you need additional assistance, please contact Resonon, or your Resonon distributor, and we will help you choose the options and accessories to meet your needs.

Scanning Systems

Resonon’s translational, angular, and rotational integrated scanning systems provide a wide array of mounting options for field or laboratory use of the Pika II, Pika NIR or Pika XC with Spectronon.

Standard Tower with lighting and stage

Linear Stage

Resonon provides a 12 inch Linear Stage scan-length option. It comes with a Tower Mount which allows you to easily adjust the height of the imaging spectrometer. The stage can be easely controled with our SpectrononPro software for plug-and-play data acquisition.

Rotational Tripod

Rotational Stage

This system is provided with our Rotational Scanner and includes a laptop tray to simplify field deployment. Resonon’s Rotational Stage system was designed for field applications. The angular rotation between line-scan frames can be adjusted within SpectronPro for ranges

Angular Tower with lighting and stage

Angular Stage

The Angular Tower enables easy adjustment of viewing and lighting angles. The Angular Tower is mostly used for measuring effect of Bidirection Reflection Distribution Function (BRDF).

The BRDF is a radiometric measure of reflectance as a function of imaging and lighting angle. The BRDF is useful in applications such as computer graphics and computer vision.

Lighting

Stablilized Illuminator

Stabilized Illuminator

Stable, broadband lighting is essential for accurate spectral imaging results. Resonon’s current Stabilized Illuminator offers a stable, high color temperature (better signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at the blue end of the spectrum) lighting system that is superior to standard halogen lighting. The system can be easely attached to the Pika Standard Tower.

Radiometric Units Calibration

Calibration System

Resonon imaging spectrometers can provide results in radiometric units.  To obtain this capability, Resonon will calibrate your imaging spectrometer using our NIST traceable radiance source.  SpectrononPro can easily be configured to use the results from this calibration to output data from Resonon imaging spectrometers in absolute radiance values. Contact Resonon or your Resonon distributor for pricing and scheduling.

Field Of View (FOV)
and
Instantaneous Field Of View (IFOV)

The image from each frame of Resonon’s line-scan imaging spectrometers is a long, narrow rectangle. The angular extent of the narrow dimension of this image is called the Instantaneous Field Of View (IFOV) and the angular extent of the long dimension of this image is called the Field Of View (FOV). Resonon has designed its visible/near-IR imaging spectrometers for optimal performance using standard Schneider C-mount lenses, thereby providing a wide range of IFOVs and FOVs. Our standard options are listed below. Available options for the Pika NIR (900 nm - 1,700 nm) are also listed.
