The Pika II: Digital Firewire Imaging Spectrometer
The Pika II is a complete, plug-and-play imaging spectrometer. Its Firewire 800 (IEEE 1394b) interface requires no framegrabber, and the Spectronon Pro data acquisition and analysis software directly controls the optional USB scanning stage. The Pika II finds applications in machine vision, precise color measurement, quality control, sortingl, and medical imaging.

Rotational or translational integrated scanning systems are available for field or laboratory use. The Pika II with a rotational stage (left) and desktop scanner with angular adjustment(right) are shown below. The desktopo scanner shown allows adjustment of the illumination angle of incidence as well as the angle of the imager relative to the sample.
